Tutorial on how to weight map a characters eyelids and how to rig them using the eyeball bones as a reference to add a very detailed level of realism. The best part is the eyelid movement is completely automated once everything set up.

This technique is the easiest way to get realistic eyelid animation and leaves eyelid morphs free and untouched so blinking and eye widening can still be used along with this.

It also mimics the target so any keyframing is mirrored (whether linear, stepped, or exponential).

The same technique can be applied in any animation program like Blender, Maya, etc.
