A quick Lightwave tutorial for making a rig for a bow. It can also be applied to assemblages with similar mechanics like a ballista.

The general idea can easily be used in other programs like Maya, Blender, or Cinema 4D.

This tutorial will deal with:

1. Creating skelegons to add bones
2. Setting up an IK Chain with a goal object
3. Adjusting the “stiffness” of the bones to simulate the tension in a bow shaft
