This is by no means an official guide and others know WAY more than myself about rigging in Lightwave… BUT if you have ever had the problem of “soft” IK chains (specifically feet going through the floor) this may help you.
This is not about the “Soft IK” settings (exponential, linear, or clamp) available for the origin bone of an IK chain (the bone attached to a goal that starts the IK chain). This is different (those settings deal with how the bones in IK chains interact.

This tutorial is an informal tip for rigs that use have a problem with staying fixed at a specific point of a keyframe.
